This venue is an acoustic nightmare, so when I heard this recording, I was very surprised. Very, VERY good recording. Best AUD I've heard on this date.

1st set highlights were an energy-packed Golden Road, Mr.Charlie (funky drummers' delight and Chimenti is dazzling with his keys), a nice They Love Each Other, and the great treat of a full WRS>Let It Grow.

2nd set has a smoking Unbroken Chain (with Phil's voice sounding as good as ever), and the I Know You Rider is full of punch.

Due to lack of funds and the price of a ticket I hadn't planned on going to any of the shows this tour. That and the fact that I'd been less than convinced about Warren fitting in to the group. I like Warren but there was just something about his style that didn't quite gel for me when it came to The Dead.

Well thanks to an old friend and tour mate who miracled me this nights show all my doubts faded. This show rocked from the first few strummed tunings and through the many song teases and punched up jammed out treasures.

While I appreciate and thank zman for his grate recording I have to say this seems to capture slightly better what I recall of the experience that night. The night was powerful, funky and a blast from start to finish. This recording is painted with the same colours and hues. I'd give it a 4 1/2 * if possible.
